Readying My Birdroom :)

Post by Ginene » Fri Sep 20, 2013 3:10 pm

It has been 10 long weeks that my bird room has been empty. I have been working on getting everything ready for my new flock. The room is just about ready, so I wanted to share some pics with you guys...

Thanks :D ...and YES!!! My flock has been hand picked by 3 of Sally's friends in Texas, Martie (FF Moderator) and Chelsea (WFA). The first to arrive will be a young M/F green singer pair from Martie. She is also allowing me to choose a young M/F pair of her societies when we meet up in Binghamton NY. Next to arrive are 3 young M/M pairs...owls (1 fawn & 1 normal), stars (1 red face & 1 yellow face) and BCCB's...and a young M/F society pair (crested/neck frill dilute fawn & fawn). The final pair is a young M/F penguin zebra pair from Chelsea at the White Finch Aviary. 7 pairs in all....and hopefully some babies down the line. I am beyond excited!!!

Now that bird room looks like it belongs in Better Homes and Gardens! Just beautiful. Your birds are going to feel like royalty. Best of luck with them. Wonderful choices. I love the way you keep us posted and encourage just about everyone on this forum. Thanks so much.

I just love your bird room!

If I ever get hubby to rearrange things to give me mine, it's our dining room, and it will continue to have swords on the walls. Bleah.

Like a nursery, awaiting the visit from the stork! Only finches, not babies (or storks). :D
It's beautiful.
How very exciting - I'm so glad your story has a happy ending.
