Hello!! Im looking for local breeder in GA
Hello Everyone my name is Juan. I moved to Georgia not too long ago. I was wondering if you guys know any local breeders in Georgia that breed Shaft Tails or Gouldian finches.
Thank you in advance,
Juan

There are several members on the FF from Georgia. Someone should add their comments soon. Welcome to the forum!

If you are anywhere near Atlanta, there are bird marts frequently in that area. Norcross, on the north side, and Forest Park on the south side.

And welcome to the forum, Juan! There's lots of good reading at the Finch Information Center linked at left, and the members are always ready to answer questions. If you put your general location in your profile, it makes it easier to answer locale-specific questions later on.

Juan won't have PM privileges for a while, since he is a new member, but he can send PMs to me, which I can forward to you if you like.Toddmin wrote: Hi Juan,

Thank you for the help guys, but I was reading that you can not contact a member about selling birds unless they have a post or they ask to be contacted. Is that how it works?

Re: Hello!! Im looking for local breeder in GA
What you can't do is PM a group of members trying to sell them birds. Any member who has birds for sale to the membership should post it in the Marketplace, just like running a classified ad. Private sales on a one-to-one basis can be done by PM.
You can certainly respond to anyone who has placed a listing in the Marketplace offering birds for sale. Or members can place listings in the Marketplace stating that they are looking for certain birds. If you see that a member in your area has the species you are looking for, I don't see the harm in sending them a PM, asking if they have anything for sale at the moment.
Does this help?
