Thank you Ginene, Debbie and lyzzyjayne :)

They are singing and happy this morning. I want to make sure each one is eating, but it's hard to watch them all at once!

It's a lot of fun!

I feel the same way! I wish my guys would use their water tubes and vacation feeders so I didn't have to keep food and water in dishes on the floor. They poop in it and its a waste of seed. Hopefully they'll get the hang of it soon.

Ginene, they should get the hang of it. They not only have to get used to new feeders, but new seed mix. Su told me to make sure they have all the millet they want. That's easy to eat and familiar to them. Plus, I can clip the millet all over the cage, so that if they are nervous to try eating on the floor, they can find something in a place they are more comfortable with. Eventually yours will check out the vacation feeders, when they are ready to venture on to new things.

I figured out that if the millet is too far from the perch, they will stare at it longingly. They are not smart enough to fly to the millet and land on it!

There are a few pieces I think I'll have to rearrange.

I actually took the millet OUT today!!! That's all the societies want to eat! They pick at the kale, seed and egg food...but they FEAST on millet. So, since they have been here for 5 days now...I decided that I am going to put millet in every other day. They are millet junkies  !!! Btw...They all made it to the TOP half of the flight today. Ruby has been checking it out for the past few days, and today the boys followed her up :) . Even Max found the ledges I put up there for him. No one has tried the swing yet. I put a rope swing in to make it easier for Max to perch on. It is triangular...with 3 sides for perching. Perfect for 5 birds :) .

Thank you. I love him, too! :)

@Ginene Did you post a photo of this three sided swing? I'm going to go look at your thread and see if I can see what it looks like. I'm glad they are exploring the top part of the cage now!

Today my Texas birds did not squint their eyes or fluff up at all. :) Even though the top level birds can't see the bottom level birds, they still all do everything together in a group. They all took a mid-afternoon nap at the same time, then they all decided to wake up and eat all at once. When I refilled their bath dishes, every single one had to have a bath at the same time too.

And by paying close attention, I was able to witness each one of them eat at one time or another. So I think they are much more comfortable today than yesterday. You've got to figure that after 40 hours in a box that randomly moves, they probably needed extra rest that first day.
