Modified Cages [pix]

Post by Paulie » Sun Oct 05, 2008 10:30 am

Decided to share the fruits of my labour and post some pictures of some cages i modified :D

The first is a cage i bought which i wasnt comfortable with as i felt it sat too low and allowed neighbourhood cats to reach the bottom and harrass my birds.

I modified it by adding wooden panels back and sides for more privacy, made up a few nest boxes attached to the panels, threw in a hide-away roosting spot, silk vines, attach a waterproof roof and made a stand...took a while but i think its worth it

AND on another project i found this cage a bit boring:

so i made a little covering for it and also a stand

Was a project worth doing and i hope my finches appreciate it

Like the first cage...excellent. If people want to breed successfully providing privacy and security is essential. The all wire cage is fine for the humans to view their birds...but that's all.
