One of our finches all of a sudden started not using his right leg. We took him out and put him in a separate cage so he could heal, but he hasn't gotten any better.
Any suggestions for at home treatment?

I think the finch needs a vet to do something for him.

That looks like it may be infected. I'd call a vet and see if you can get him some antibiotics.

yes for a home remedy defiantly.put it on antibiotics,if you can get your hands on some without a vet visit.or perhaps purchase by mail.if that fails then a vet visit must be considered.

it looks like a infection in the joint,I would think it past the point of treating it at home

Sorry for the lateness in my reply; the infection was too far gone and he is no longer with us. He fought long and hard though.
