Yes they are but i'm having some problems in breeding them , you see i never pair 2 albinos , i always mix with some black or brown so the offspring come more strong , but the down side is that very feuw are coming out albino hehehe .

That's a good thing, so you raise healthy finches! The other babies carry the gene, at least. Then, you can pair two that are split albino or one albino to a split. Very interesting!

BTW, are you from the Azores Archepeligo Islands by Portugal? Wow, what a beautiful place to live!

Yes i live on the main island São Miguel on the azores , and yes it is very nice to live here , if you do not know Deborah there is a bird on this island that is found nowhere else in the world , it's name is priolo , i'll put the foundation link here so you guys can take a look http://www.gulbenkian.pt/media/files/fu ... 0Costa.pdf

Luis
Thanks for the link about the Priolo! My neighbors speak Portugues, so I'll ask them to translate the information. Cool.

yes it looks like , that's why we in the island will never gonna be able to have the bull finch as pets because if one is loose , it can mix and ruin the genetics of the priolo , the same is with honey bees we have pure non infected euro bees , and the governmet does not allow to other types of bees to get in as the bull finch too .
