I am really embarrassed to ask this in public. I have been a member for a couple of months. I have been wondering how to find/use the species sub forums discussed. I kept thinking it will be come apparent but actively looking for these specific species sub-forums I have not found anything.
Could someone advise please.
A humble thanks!

Re: Sub Forums
If you mean the "all things hook-bill" and "all things Canary" forums click on board index link above...you'll see "forum", now scroll down to "other"...there they are
If that's not what you meant I'm not sure either

Re: Sub Forums
Hi.
In the Species Forum there is a sticky about finch species forums. I didn't want to read all nine pages but now scanning through I see there may have been a poll about whether or not to do this. Maybe not doing it won which is the reason for the NOT on the post title.
I am thinking this is the case now.
Originally, I only read the first few posts which talk all about which species to add etc. etc.

Re: Sub Forums
Yes, if you mean the sticky about the subforums for different species of finches, that was considered at one time, but the idea was abandoned. The thought was that all the information for each species could be gathered into one place, making it easier for members to find out info about a specific species. However, many members may post a question about several species, so then they would have to decide just where to put it. There were other problems with making subforums for each species. The membership was polled to see what they wanted, and the consensus was to leave it as it is, and so that is what we did. Perhaps I should add something to that sticky to let new members know that it was just an idea that was never developed.
And never ever be embarrassed to ask a question on this forum. I am an administrator and still stumble around from time to time! We are all learning all the time. I learn much from newbies, as the newbies on this forum remind me of the wonder of that first egg, that first clutch, that first hatchling, and then the miracle of that first fledgling. And then there will be that post that makes me say 'Why didn't I think of that?" So ask away, everyone benefits from questions.
