Glad the birds are doing better. Did she indeed pass an egg?

And also because I don't think anyone came out and said it other than the parrot finches are active and need larger cages, but hens that lead sedentary lives do not have muscles that are as well developed as hens in larger cages with more room to move and fly. Weak muscles can also lead to egg binding which is why ample space to move as well as calcium are recommended for species prone to egg binding or active species that when not given the opportunity to exercise can become egg bound.

I'm sure once you get them into the aviary they will be much happier but any increase in the size of the cage should help them currently.

Dead! I'm so....mad!!! She was pulling threw and then gone. And the reasion is just plane sickening!! Stuck ball in watterer. Almost lost them both. I now have two watterers. The male is recovering on NV powder and thrive. He is so thankful that the once spastic wild bird is now tame. He even let's me hold and pet him. But we will see how he acts when fully recovered. I'm so discusted with my self!

That's awful. I've heard that water bottles are prone to doing that which is why I've always been so reluctant to ever switch any of my birds over to them even though I have several around the house. So sorry you lost her.

Will you try finding him a new mate?

From what I read two lutinos are kinda bad to mate. Its better to mate with a blue face. From what I gather the genetics are stronger that way. So I'm going to go that route. Unless someone can tell me otherwise.
