Once again I'd like to say that if there are any ideas or suggestions please feel free to comment. I am just going by what I think should work and info taken from FF and the web.

Also i should mention that there are no plans or drawings I'm just creating as I go, so it's all negotiable. :)

Ver nice. I really enjoyed designing and building my outside aviary. I like the pull-out tray you designed for easy clean up. I made mine large enough to walk in. If you have to do a top to bottom scrub it might be difficult but I am sure you can work it out. My biggest problem is catching my birds with my size aviary. I can see some of my birds nails are too long. I have tryied to net them with minimal success. The stress I am causing them is just not worth it. I feel like putting some ambien in their water. [-X . Just joking.

Sitting Duck,

Poohbear posted a pic of a great catch/feeding station that might take care of that problem of catching your birds in that gorgeous aviary of yours. You'll need patience though. :D

This is absolutely wonderful! You are doing a great job. I would love to have one of these but I'm not very good building things. I have looked at the cages on the website 'Cages by design" but the are very expensive. Love the pictures. Thanks. Kathie

Here is what the door looks like and how it works with the window-

I added a small cross-branch near the feeding door-

and another tree branch-

I had to bring my birds inside because the raccoons were terrorizing them at night.

I added casters, so now it rolls around with ease for cleaning etc. Also I can roll it into the sun-

I found these beads at the swap meet for $12, and shortened them to about 3 feet. This involved cutting and re-tying each strand.

This is so they don't try to fly out the open door..

Getting ready!!

I attached millet to a ring that is on a string that goes out the top-
100_0025.JPG
The other end has another ring on the outside-
100_0029.JPG
That way I can just lower it to replace it, and not have to try and climb in and up to it-

Here is the feeding hatch with a $2 tray and treats-
