heehee...this is starting to remind me of that corny joke, which I'm sure you've all heard...
Tarzan comes home to the tree house and Jane asks him to go out and catch them some dinner. Tarzan beats his chest and swings out all man-like, with his bow and arrows in tow. First, he comes upon a large tree with a flock of birds in it. He shoots one and puts it in his sack. Next, he comes across a couple of monkeys. He catches them and puts them in his sack. Thinking this will suffice, he goes back to the tree house and proudly slaps the bird and monkeys onto the table in front of Jane. She replies with an exasperated sigh "Oh Tarzan, not finch and chimps AGAIN!!"

Parlez vous frinches?

Okay...just where is this thread going anyway...LOL!
I have been cleaning my cages with Pet Focus and it seems to work fine. I have also used Vinegar which is great for stubborn poops. And I also use Clorox "Anywhere Hard Surface Spray" on my Senegal cage. He goes into a sleeping cage during the night so then I can really spray down his day cage and leave it to dry out good overnight.

Can't be a Canadian thing... I love malt vinegar on my chips. Of course, I was born in Wales, so maybe that's it. Been here most my life so I don't know what my excuse is. Hahahaha. It's growing up in a family headed up by a crazy Brit woman. Probably explains my fondness for Marmite.
As for the cages, I usually use vinegar and water, but for a while I was using something called Cage Clean, which I purchased for my rabbit cage. It said it was safe for the birds too, but I couldn't handle the smell and stopped using it.

A trio of happy zebs.
