So last night, he tried. He really tried. He can fly about 10-12 in. at a shot. He wanted to roost with everyone else and tried but can only get up 1/2 way. He would make it to 2nd perch but for some reason wouldn't make the 2nd jump to top perch.
It was so cute as they were all encouraging him from the top perch and then all came down to be with him, like YOU CAN DO IT.

I just think his muscle tone is crap, along with his size. I refused to help him, he needs to learn to do it. I don't think he ever made it up last night. He was still on bottom by the time I covered them.

But, it is a lot better than the previous 24 hours.
Maybe today.....

Ok, he still just flies about 10 in. tops and then grabs side, flutters wings enough to move up 2 rungs, again and again until he can hop from side of cage to perch.
But, he did it.

His going down is not graceful though..... more like a fall with style but he made it down and was unhurt, just not graceful.
