Have some empty cages and am wondering what is locally available from other people. Apart from the zebras and societies Id also like some other species especially green singers, cuban melodious, goldfinches, gouldians, or others.

Not a whole lot up in New England. If you do find someone, let the rest of us know?

I see a lot of psittacine and canary people but not too many finch and softbill.

I like some psittacines, only the smaller members which I'm also looking for such as parrotlets and smaller parakeet-like species.

I've acquired a male green singer. Now I'm in need of a hen!

No luck on that site but thanks because it might help in the future. I was thinking of taking a long drive to some importer or broker with a wide variety of wild caught finches. Does anyone know who the closest one to Boston is?

I'd also be willing to drive some distance for true cage bred goldfinches.

There are a couple of New England birdmarts coming up in April. You never know what will be there and it's fun to mingle with the bird folks and make contacts. Both usually have gouldians as well as other types of finches.

I wish they'd schedule these on separate weekends so I didn't have to chose just one. #-o
