Mine think my primary function, after giving them food, is to keep refilling the bath -- all day. You'd think I didn't have anything else to do except wait on them and maintain their pool.

LOL dcompt . it seems like your socs love their bath!!!! Its funny beofre they take a bath because it looks like they are trying to decide if they should go in or not. "Should we go in?" lol

delray...Actually, their flight had the feeders mounted outside the cage. So this is a new discovery for them. My mixed double flight has the feeders mounted on the inside because there are no doors that they could properly outside mount to. Btw, there will be lots of poop on the top of that feeder  .

With most of my cages, the gravity feeders have to hang on the inside. Some birds aren't too bad, but some, including the Societies, like to sit on top of the feeder. As Ginene has said, they will poop all over the top of the feeder and even down the sides. I never have that problem with the few cages I have that will take an outside-mounted feeder.

Do they sleep in that nest?

Oh ok . Yes they poop all I've the feeder but we stay on top of it. Yes they sleep in that nest. It's really cute when they sleep there. We also have a corner shelf but they don't ever sleep there Sally
