[quote="TheWhiteFinchAviary"

If you notice his crop becomes empty or he seems dehydrated (head lolling or drooping constantly)As long as the baby has food in his crop his parents are still feeding him. (Or someone is!)[/quote]

I've checked him several times, and there have been no signs of dehydration. Yea! And just now, his little ctop was as full as can be. So.... double Yea!!!!!

His feathers on his (or her!) wings are so long! I'm naming him Angel. I'm so excited!

I should be studying for my last final, but can't stay away from checking the forum. Wish I could quit school and raise birds for a living but I think we'd starve!

Boy can I relate to that ml830 !
I would love to raise finches for a living, but we would all starve, the finches, my kids and out other pets. LOL.

I'm so glad to hear it Mary!! :D Double yeah is right. Angel is the perfect name for him, I'm sure he'll always be watching over you as you've done for him.

I second that idea to raise Finches for a living! Partly why I work from home. :) Until Zebras start selling for $500 each though I'm keeping the day job!

I'll third that idea!

I work at home and throughout the day, I'll get up and walk around to stretch and I often find myself in the bird room, where I'll get "stuck" in birdie land for indeterminate amounts of time.

They're probably saying, "Oh goodness, it's that odd giant again! She's come to peer at us!"
Humum to....
13 Zebra Finches....and 2 squeeps!
3 Society Finches
6 Gouldians
1 Weaver
1 Pintail Whydah
2 Cockatiels
2 Parakeets

....along with 1 MinPin, 1 Pug, 1 JRT, 1 Yorkie, 2 Chihuahuas and 15 cats.
