CommaHolly If you have a question...ask it. Almost always there's someone available to answer. For sure, everyone is willing to help when at all possible. About molting. Zebras can start molting at any time of year and usually molt twice per year. They sometimes will lose feathers at other times though it's not considered a molt. Then of course if they have an aggressive mate...be it male or female, there is always the risk of losing them to plucking. That's something zebras like to do a lot depending on temperament. Here's a good link on molting and good vitamins for when your birds are molting if you wanted them. http://www.finchniche.com/features_molting.php I hope that helps answer your question.

Corkysgirl said it perfectly!

My guys also tend to molt about twice a year. I don't see a distinct pattern. Sometimes they'll go 6 months; other times, they'll go 4 or 5 months between molts. It's an imprecise science, so to speak.

I love your boys' names, by the way! No judgment here! LOL
