My parakeet is impossible! And...I got him from a Vet Tech when he was 7 months old. Why she didn't introduce him to some fruits/vegetables I'll never know. And...he was eating the worst seed with food coloring and other bad things. I called Laraine and finally she said I should just buy her three seed mix. Better he gets three seeds than all the junk added...and I toss them in coconut oil....very lightly, with his meds. He wouldn't even eat dried greens when I got him, but I took his seed away and now he eats the dried parsley and Herb Salad. Parakeets MUST eat greens or they get liver problems. I was so worried!
