Looks great! Your birds will enjoy all that room. I wish I was handy with tools, it is so much better to build a cage than try to work with the manufactured ones.

Gorgeous enclosure those birds have got there! I'd reccomend the addition of 1 or 2 slanted natural twiggy branches, though. I find Javas love these, something with some curves and that isn't just back and forth to land upon.

very nice...can you not put it up on legs say 3ft coz birds like
the height. Also be very careful with the stain/paint types too.

Sheather It shall be done, thank you for the suggestion. I tried to incorporate many different widths for the branches, diagonal positioning must have slipped me mind!
@mikeonthebike sorry I am confused by your response. I am under the impression that finches appreciate more length than height? Is over 3 feet not tall enough for them? I have not seen them go down to the lower branches once since moving them in. Thank you for your response though, hopefully we can get some clarification.

Travillion, I think he meant placing the entire flight cage on legs to lift it off the ground. He didn't mean the adding to the height of the inside of the flight.

Toddmin I see. It is already off of the ground, standing at a total height of 7.5 ft. One and a half feet higher and it would be touching the ceiling =P

cindy Thank you very much? And out of curiosity, how can you tell they might be a possible pair just from the pictures? The one with the band is the male, no band is what I believe to be a female.
