REMOVE EGGS or NOT

My birds have been on the eggs since the 4th August, 14 days. According to me I don't think they have any hatched, the eating patterns are the same , so no eating to give to chicks going on.

Should I remove the eggs, or wait a little longer?

Thanks, maybe my birds started to young, maybe I should wait another 2-3 days in case maybe her last two eggs laid may stand a chance?

I always wait a full week after I guess they will hatch just in case they didn't start when I thought they did

I agree, I always wait another week or two weeks to make sure the eggs are not hatching. I've had pairs lay new eggs on top of the older ones and then, some hatch, probably from the last clutch, but it's hard to tell sometimes. I'd just wait and see, but keep giving them eggfood etc.

What type birds are they ?

I have some zebras that are on eggs , they have bred this year and last and are on 7 eggs , I marked these as they were laid as I had planned to foster them out if she laid a large clutch .
When I candled them only 4 were fertile and curiosly enough the4 good eggs were laid last .
Can you candle the birds eggs ?
Regardless of anything else I would always leave them for at least a week after their due date before going in and inspecting them close up .

Definitely leave them at least a week, perhaps even a tad longer.

I wouldn't candle just yet since these are all first time parents, right? We don't want to disturb them if you can avoid it.

If they weren't sitting consistently, it can take a few extra days.
I've had them hatch quite a few days after I thought they should hatch!

Or it could be that there are just one or two and there's no noticeable increase in food intake because they're still small and don't need all that much. That's possible too. It can be hard to gauge their food intake sometimes.

I would definitely candle around this time next week, before you discard them.

Thank you very much for all the feedback, I am stressed now, today is 15 days on the nest, anyway, I will wait to next week Monday as all say here, lets keep the faith I don't want to open and look in, IN CASE I disturb them. But they are not feeding a lot, so I think the chicks are not out yet but as you say the chicks are so small you may not notice anyway.
