Unfortunately I haven't managed to save any apart from once which astonished me further.the societies had hatched and hadn't peeked in a couple of days.they once I managed to spot a surviving chick was when the cubans tossed a chick in the dry insect food and i picked him up to place him with the societies just to find out that the societies have tossed their chicks also.kind of given up now.might be selling up and keep a couple of pairs to set up in breeding cages and take off the aviary
2 pairs red cheeked cordon bleus
1 pair parsons
1 pair parrot finches (pied male and female red face)
2 pair shaft tail
1 pair star finch
1 pair cubans
3 pair bengalese
1 pair cherry head
1 pair canaries
1 pair fire finch
1 pair lavenders

Matthias Do yourself a favour and sell the duplicate pairs that you have. Also get rid of the bengales. Keep one pair of firetails, grassfinches, cubans, parsons firefinches, cherries lavenders and parrotfinches. You have far too many birds. If you are not going to be able to feed live food, sell both pair of CB's. They will in any case toss their chicks if they don't have livefood.
