Finally A Double Flight Cage

Post by ranchnanny » Sun Sep 21, 2014 4:31 pm

I have been looking for a double flight cage for a few years and I am always a day late and a dollar short....
BUT, Friday I hit the jackpot finding one on craigslist for $200 and in good condition.

Currently I have a 5 ft flight cage for my Bourkes and had 4 tall flights for the rest of my finches. To many cages taking to much room up in the dining area. To many cages to clean seed everywhere vacuuming 3 or 4 times a day YIKES!

I started this morning moving greenery perches, feeders etc....I got the birds all moved into their new homes Lady Gouldians in one side and my owls, green singers in the other side. They are all doing well and seem happy exploring their new surroundings.

Pictures of the old setup and all the cages and pictures of the new setup.....I am so happy!!

I have sold a lot of birds to thin my flock down to a manageable size and now I think I can live with this setup. Lots more room in the dining area for my rocker so I can sit a watch my birds....

Where did you get your bird stand? I like how sturdy it looks. Our stand isn't the greatest

ppg5tu the stand came with the flight and it's green powder coated it's pretty solid.
Now I only have 3 cages to clean....Life is Good!

I spent the last two hours sprying the old cages with poop off and power washing them.
Letting them sun dry then to the garage they go will be putting them and all other cages on Craigslist....

Thanks Sherry

Phil I found that 3 cage stacked setup on Amazon just look for stacked cages. I have 2 of them in my garage.

Thanks I found it! It looks like the breeder cages sit nicely on there. The stand I got for mine doesn't seem to be the right size for the cages. Does the stand have bars going underneath the cages that keep them from moving?

Phil the cages fit well if they are the correct size 30x18x18 and I used zip ties to make sure they don't move. They have a small foot print if you are lacking space.
