WrenNAustinTX -- Aw, the little egg hat dude was trying to set a trend!
He was like the uber cool trend setter chick!

I actually think the egg hat thing is normal. There's another member here with a mid-hatch egg as the profile photo and he's got an egg hat too! But sounds like he was ready to go, so just saved him the trouble!

So sweet! I love me some babies!

They all look like they have that tannish fluff. So cute! I've seen different colors myself. Some more yellowish, others a pure white. And some are bald! (Which I prefer, as you can see them better when they're little.

My guys are super loud this morning! I peeked in and we've got open eyes on one little guy!

MiaCarter yeah, I thought the hat thing could be normal but, I had to run to work and what if he couldn't get the hat off...? I worry too much lol

Also I didn't know the babies had different fluff. Come to think of it, when I had chicks before, I don't remember them ever being so fluffy. I wonder what the difference is.

Congrats on your new babies!

WrenNAustinTX -- Yeah, some are definitely fluffier than others!
Some species like Gouldians are totally bald.

But there's a big variation of fluff amount and color, even among babies in the same clutch!

I would have de-hatted him too. :-)
