Thank you for sending your plan. I also rescued a finch a little over a year ago, which was my lucky day. Now I have an aviary and have learned so much about these little lovelies.

Good Job! That looks very nice :) I housed 20 parakeets using galvanized wire mesh and never had a problem thankfully. A couple of them lived for 16 years, outside, with a range of temperature from 22 degrees in the winter to over 100 in the summer. Guess they never chewed it.

Beautiful Aviary! I have also heard the galvanized mesh can be an issue, but it can be easily remedied by soaking and scrubbing it (I do not remember the proper solution). I am sure your finch are quite happy in their new home :)
