Those trips to the pet shop are dangerous!

I try to stay outta there as much as possible! I can do Pet$m@rt, but I can't do the little mom and pop pet shop, as they have all sorts of lovelies! Not just birds either! Last time I was in there, they had a potbellied pig and a couple of de-scented skunks. I was DYING for one of the latter (I've had a skunk before; they're so lovely! They act just like cats. And I want another!!)

Yeah. Gotta send husband to that pet shop. He's got better self control (but he tortures me with photos!)

Can't wait to see photos!
I'd have given them superhero names, as the little red slash makes me think of one of those superhero masks. LOL

You could do something like Spidey and Flash. Or even SuperBird and Waxman! (waxbill --> waxman) LOL

~Yea, money has a way of burning a hole in the pocket when one steps into my favorite pet shop. You know you shouldn't, but the heart wants what the heart wants and my heart WANTS different kinds of little birdies.

Hello To All.

Well, Tamsin and Killian are doing very well.
I know now without a doubt that both are boys. Saw both dancing and singing with a little twig of Timothy hay in the beak. Ah well...

Another trip to the Pet Shop?
Not any time soon...

Well perhaps you could trade one of the males for a hen...

Maybe coerce the store into telling you what breeder they get their birds from and go directly to the source...

You might could get two hens for the price the pet store charged you for one... ;)

You really think they are going to tell me the name if their breeder?
I might be able to trade, but what would be my guarantee that I'm getting a female this time? They are impossible to sex by looking at them. Everybody, including me, thought that Killian was a girl, because of faint, pale coloration and the fact that there was no singing. Tam on the other hand was singing, until we all got home.
Now both of them are singing to each other, to the Redbills, to the Orange Cheeks, and to my little Star Sunny, who doesn't know what to make of them.
