lol Well they could at least tell you whether the birds are bred locally or if they are imports.

Then you could do the detective work on your own...lol ;)

I always hooked up my favorite customers. Especially if I was the breeder...I'd just slip them one of my cards with my number on the back and they could pick the birds out much cheaper at my house...Haha I even had a lady come to get one of my chinchillas that way and refused to pay me less than the pet store was asking saying I deserved the money and she like me more than the owner anyway...lol

Ahh-haa! That's how you operate, eh?
When I ask, I usually get vague answers, like we try to deal with local breeders, but... Yes, we deal with some breeders in the area, but can't remember names right off the top of my head... or... most of our breeders are down East... Yada yada yada...
