Here are the two males. The one in front is the parent of this clutch.

Orange breast butt shot. The upper tail coverts (not visible here) are a deep orange, almost reddish color, also very bright. If you look at the above photo, you can see it.

Congrats! Are you going to band them today, or wait till you get home? The old bands size A always came off when I banded at fledge, so I would wait at least 3 days after fledge to band, but these new bands are running smaller, so they may stay on right after fledge.

I already banded them a few days ago, and the bands are still on.

Just got back home from my trip and took a few new photos. The babies seem to be doing very well, and parents are feeding them. They are keeping the other birds away from the babies, being very protective.
