They are dead
Well I posted a few days ago about the baby Zebra that had hatched and mom didn't sleep with it the first night, then the next day she was in the box. When I came home today, I went to feed and saw something strange at the bottom of the cage, it was a dead baby...I had heard a baby chipping this morning, so I looked in the box and there was a baby still in the box, but upon closer look it also appears dead as I couldn't see any movement. So I guess she didn't feed them and they starved? Not sure, she is sleeping and staying in the box, also eating and I have plenty of foods, egg food etc...This is so sad.

Sorry to hear about your loss. It is always hard to loose the little guys. Is mom acting okay? Maybe the babies that were lost will help prepare her by giving her some knowledge for the next go round. Some parents dont get it on the first try and they just need practice.
