Time for round 2!

Today the 1st chick(there are 5 eggs total) from Erebor and Celbdil's 2nd clutched hatched, and now I have a live streaming nest cam! (I think)

I saw one hatchling and then the mama sat on her new baby. Congrats! How'd you set up the nest cam? I'd love to do that with some of my species.

She left the nest and I see some food in the little tiny crop! So cute!

you can see one of the eggs has a peep-hole! I'm trying to be patient for it to hatch but it's SOOO HARD!

IF the first baby hatched this morning, the second one will probably finish pipping and hatch in the morning on Thursday. It's tough to wait, but it takes those little ones a lot of energy and time to break out of their shell.

Yep! They usually hatch one each day just like when they lay one egg each day.

The dad moved the baby out of the brooding area of the nest and has not sat to warm him for over six minutes. I'd move dad and let mom take over again, so teh baby doesn't get chilled. Uh, I don't need a nest cam for my finches, yours is nerve wracking enough!
