I could only look at a little bit of it. I don't have unlimited data usage, so I have to be careful--I don't know why, but youtube and facebook are the worst offenders at using up data. Next time I am where I can use free wifi, I will watch the rest of it. Just the little I saw looked very intriguing!

I thoroughly enjoyed watching the video! Thanks so much for sharing that. I kept finding myself smiling while I was watching it. If I had that room, I'd never want to leave. You have quite the crew there. Those budgies were cracking me up. The cockatiel acted like he wanted you to pet him when he would fly down to you. When they put their heads down like that, it is an invitation. You've done a great job putting that room and your little flock together. Awesome stuff!

KarenB I really do never want to leave, haha. We are always in that room watching everyone do their thing, so relaxing.
The cockatiel is a persnickety little guy - he sure LOOKED like he wanted to be pet but I know him well enough already that if I tried at that point in time, he'd try and nip me. He's rapidly getting more used to us and is generally sweet, but he prefers petting on a solid surface like a bed or a knee rather than elevated up on a hand at this point and I'm not pushing his boundaries.

Dylan, that looks just great. I love all the greenery in there, which makes the environment so appealing and natural looking. The birds look like they absolutely love it . Do they ever eat any of your plants?
Thanks for sharing that with the rest of us.

Sheather just seeing this now! About to watch!
@Sally you sound just like me! Sally I'm starting to think you're a teenager, worried about going over. I'm not sure if you know this but if you leave apps running without properly exiting out of them it wastes data, had to teach my mom that one.

Sheather i love all the foliage!! Everybody seems to be held along so well! Now are the live plants or fake plants? I really love it. Now if these are fake plants, I'm thinking of going out (my friend works at amvets and said they have plenty ) and buying large fake plants and trees. Do you think this would work without them getting too dirty? I want to go a more natural route with heavy planting but i don't even know where to start

Thank you for your compliments! The birds (and I) really love it in there.
Yes! The birds really maul most of the plants, especially the palm, which they enjoy tearing up into strips for their nests. Every other month, the palm is taken away to recover in another room or else they would defoliate it completely eventually. They also love to nibble the hibiscus and bamboo, but not as severely.
Fake plants are good to attach to higher branches where they are unlikely to be pooped on, but I recommend living, potted plants down lower. They are easier to wash, comparably cheaper, and the birds enjoy chewing and playing in them more. However, if you lack natural light, they cannot survive and in that case artificial trees and foliage are okay too. You will need to regularly wipe them down with a washcloth or similar if the birds perch in them often - easier for large-leaved sorts than palms or grasses.

The plants are a mixture of living and artificial, the living foliage is potted and is mostly at ground level or on the windowsill while all of the flowers and greens attached to the upper branches and cagetops are artificial.DanteD716 wrote: Sheather i love all the foliage!! Sheather the room has full spectrum lighting but no real sunlight, only a little comes through a small window. I envy your bird room, since mine is in the basement i cannot hands windows
