I need help right now!! D:

Okay, hey, I'm new to this forum, so I'm not sure if i chose he right topic, but there's no time to explain ..
So my zebra finches laid eggs, a while ago, And It's time for them to hatch .. Sad thing is , yesterday one of them started to hatch, but he died. And It's because the parents don't even care now that they have eggs in the nest . (I think the problem is that we changed their cage .. ) And heres the help i need really fast .. So my little brother cracked the other egg, this morning .. And i didn't have much time, si i went to school. I just came back, and the chick is half hached.. He wasnt moving, and he was completly cold, so i breath on him, to keep him warm. He is moving, it looks like small hiccups are bothering him. I don't know what to do .. I cant put him basck in the cage .. The parents dont even care about the nest now .. It's in my hand .. I am trying to keep him warm .. I dont want him to die .. HELP?!

I'm so sorry to have to say this, but this little baby probably will not make it. It looks like he either wasn't completely finished, ready to come out of the shell, or he was injured when the shell was cracked. There should not be blood present when they hatch. The kindest thing to do is just let him go.

If you moved the cage while the parents were sitting on eggs, that often makes them lose interest in their clutch. I would remove any other eggs and let them try again.

Thankyou so much for your answer, This site is really helpful! I live in Europe, Latvia, i think it was 11 am, or 1pm for me .. I kinda don't remember .. Actually .. Later when i made this post, the chick wasn't moving, he was ice cold. He passsed away. So I just put them back in the nest.( But I will be removing the eggs, and the dead chicks) It's my 2nd time, my zebra finches have chicks, so I could say I am new to this! The first time they had 6 eggs, and two of them hatched. (And they are still living in the same cage with the parents) That's the reason I had to change the cage, because the first one was only for 2 birds, and it was quite small for 4 birds there, so we bought a new one. I'm happy that this site was made, to help people with the trouble they'r having with their loving birds!
