moved egg???

Post by adiekaty » Thu Dec 11, 2008 11:50 am

Can a Zebra move their egg about 4 inches over to another nest?(would have to be carried) nest are not connected in any way...

This sounds impossible to me, but yesterday 1 egg was layed after lunch... in a nest... today the egg is in another nest (open style with more room) egg gone from first nest.
At first I thought she layed a 2nd and I was gonna move the other egg over... no egg... did it fall and break and they ate it all? No residue of any kind on the cage floor... this is so weird...
I will have my answer around 12 or so.... If another egg shows up... this one was moved... If no egg , this was # 2 and other was eaten...

Can they move eggs is my question?

Never heard of finches moving / carrying an egg out of one nest and into another.
