That's a great article! I did not know that cuttlebone has iodine in it!

Thanks for the great link, mick! I just bought a big bottle of liquid calcium, darn it, but I also got a big bag of cuttlefish bone, already scraped into a powder.

That was a great link Mick.
So far..... I have never had a case of egg binding. I hope I never do.

From reading the article I can see that I am doing many things right. YEAH!!!

Fortunately I have the space to make many things available free choice all the time. I actually have a little "food bar".

I have noticed that lately the ones that empty up the quickest are the charcoal dish and the grit dish.

have to confess that I gave in last night. placed an order for bio-cal, virkon s, coopex and some finer charcoal than I have been using.
not to convince the better half that I need more birds to help eat it, cant have any going bad lol.

Good site that one, have ordered from before,The three products you ordered are good.Ordered charcoal?what for ?All charcoal I use is from timber I have burnt. As long as you have somewhere to burn it.I use paper to start it, and use any non treated timber I have available, usually tree branches or fire wood.
adiction is better than cure

I would still do it but have to many nosy, tale telling neighbours who would just love to dob me in to local council.
sob sob sulk, I gotta admit its my fault I had to buy some though. forgot to make any during the 2 months leading up to fire ban season.
