Thanks to Hilary (?) I presume, for starting another thread and moving this for me. I was beginning to notice how we'd wandered off on a tangent, but didn't know what to do about it!

I do find that when the divider is not in, the gap where the divider goes is quite large on some of the cages, so I cut 1/2" quarter round molding to go in that space--the cages come with a spring to hold the dividers in place, so that works great to hold the molding in place.
Thanks Sally! Now that I know I could keep my little finches in them with no problem, I want one! I could definitely do that trick with the molding. Yours is the BC-6 Sally. I was thinking of getting the model BC-7, which is 36 X20 X 20. Just about the same width and depth as my current cage, just not as tall. It would be perfect. And since I don't really want it powder coated, it is la bit cheaper!
So Atarasi, if you
do get a chance to get there and pick up the unpainted BC-7 large divided breeder cage, that would be great. And even better if you can get it on sale, since I'm not in any hurry. It would sure save me from dealing with construction mess. PM me and we can discuss the logistics (how much money I should send you - and where you will drop it off in Abbotsford).
Wow, this forum is amazing!
