Has anyone bought custom indoor aviary by Cages by Design?

Post by rfn1 » Wed Dec 10, 2008 11:45 pm

I am thinking about customizing a cage that is 24" high, 60" long, 18" deep from the following site:

If you have used it, what kind of door and feeder is provided to allow access?

Thanks for your help.

There is no way I'm paying that kind of money for a cage. I built my own plexiglass/wood cage for a fraction of that and it looks really nice. I made everything from scratch including the door frames. I put a regular feeder cup inside a bird bath box and it fit perfectly in there and kept it in place. It also helped keep the seed shells from falling all over the cage floor.

I looked at their cages as well, but decided that the price was too high. I built my own out of wood and 3/8" hardware cloth. The doors are just hinged flap type doors that are hinged on the top, so they automatically drop down and close when I take may arm out.
