I'm one for the 19-25 range. I'm 21 and have had finches now for a year. I use to have zebra and parakeets when I was 10 and gave them away when we moved to the states. I have started back with finches and plan to have them for a very long time.
Society Finches, Fire Finches, Strawberry Finches, Owl Finches, Plum Head Finch, Goldbreast Waxbill Finches, Orange Cheek Waxbill Finches, Blue Capped Cordon Finches, Zebra Finches, Bronzewing Mannikin Finches, Red-Cheek Cordon Blue Finches, and Button Quail

Age is relative.. Experience comes with age, but doesn't depend on your age.. I have friends that are young, but have an old soul. I have older friends that are young souls.. How do you define them unless you meet them.. Hope I'm making sense to some..

You make perfect sense, Bill. Sometimes I feel like I'm 18 and then there are days when I feel like I'm older than my 82 year old mother!

old enough to know better but young enough not to care
Addicted to Finches, yes I do admit it.
I pray they never find a cure.

Sometimes when I'm in the grocery store, counting out my small change to pay my bill, I think " "I've turned into my mother!"

About falling apart....FinchMommy...I at least held off longer than you....I started falling apart at age 40....had 15 surgeries in as many years.....and that doesn't even count my teeth....had 14 crowns....and 14 root canals. Guess Hubby should have looked in my mouth before he married me...ha!

Maybe I started falling apart early due to the chronic pain I've suffered since I was about 8. Plus, I have a shoulder that's in dire need of replacing, but I'm too young. Hehehehe, I just figure every year that I'm still able to keep as active as I do is a good year (having a 6 year old helps keep me active too :D ).

I'm 26 and have just got a pair of gouldians for my wife for xmas.
I had a pair of Zebs when I was about 13 but we didn't have them for long and I picked up the cage which opened and they flew away.

Looking forward to many years in this hobby:) Apart from my many other hobbies : Marine aquariums, Diving for marines, poker, DJing ... all of which I never seem to find time to do anymore. I'm a full time electronic engineer and run 2 businesses on the side.

Well.. with the economy these days I see young people, old people and all the rest (including myself.. notice I didn't put myself in any range.. hehe) doing the same in stores. I remember going to the store with my 99 year old Grandmother and wondered why she was doing that. Now I know..

She would tell me stories about living through the 'Great Depression' and better times when she went to Church in a horse drawn carriage (yes it did have fringe on top).. A loaf of bread was 5 cents (not sliced)..

How times have changed, yet we seem to survive the changes. Things will get better as they always have..

Awe geez.. stepping off my soap-box ... sorry..
