Plan was holding until we receive the custom made cages and get the birds a day after we receive and decorate the new huge flights.

We went to see Dave (north scottsdale AZ) ``birdproducts.com `` and spent an hour with him checking all aviaries learning more about the species he is selling and breeding.

A female green singer for our baby boy. (he got scared of her for some time but they slept together on the perch at the end of the day)

I was really concerned about not giving them live food and making them unhealthy and upset but he said he never gives his birds any live food either unless they catch stuff in the aviary. He gave me his special seed blend, egg meal blend and dried insect blend. Also millet, fresh fruit vegetables and boiled egg. So this will be their food.
We decided to house green singer pair alone in a 36x20x22"h cage
strawberry, lavender and red cheek pair in 60x26x30"h cage
once the cages arrive.
Large cage can be divided if needed; also we will have 3x 30x18x18"h spare breeding cages for possible breeding/ babies or aggression that will be vacated after the arrival of the new cages.
I am still considering to house green singers with red cheeks since they are close size wise and ladygouldian finch chart says that is possible. Haven`t made up my mind fully on this.
For the moment strawberry and lavender`s are housed in one 30x18x18
green singers in one and red cheeks in one 30x18x18.
