Congrats on your egg babies! How exciting!

Your birds are lovely. That's an especially cute picture at the top of the thread, particularly of the little guy on the right.

Canaries have such pretty little eggs.

Some hens prefer to sit from the first egg; others start sitting once there's 3-4 eggs. And others don't sit until the clutch is finished. So it varies.

I hope you have tiny little squeeps some day soon!

All five eggs hatched of the red canaries.
They will be a week old tomorrow, two of the five anyway.

The other two pairs should start hatching in the next few days.

Atbird --- YES! They are little Fraggles!!!!

Canary babies are the cutest ever! They have the loooongest necks. Little feathered giraffes! And I love how the shape/size of their beaks and begging posture more closely resembles lots of the wild species. They're so cute!!!

I need me some canaries....especially canary babies!
