Only a handful of months after bringing home our first finches, we have two healthy baby fledglings. They started coming out of the nest this morning. They've been eat millet spray that mom and dad have drug into the nest for a few days now, so I think they are well on their way. I'll add a picture as soon as I can.
The other nest has babies that are about a week younger. I'm not sure that they are doing well. I can't see into that nest very well and I haven't wanted to disturb them. The one bird I can see is breathing, but not moving around as much as the others were a week ago. And I THINK I can see some baby fuzz on the other side of the nest, which makes me think we may have lost a hatchling. Fingers crossed for them.
While we weren't planning to have more finches so soon, this has been really exciting. I want to thank all of you who share your experience and advice so freely here.

Congratulations on new fledglings!
It's always an exciting time, to watch them taking those first baby steps, hops, and flights.
I can't recall, but do you have Zebra finches? If that's the case, be prepared for many more babies. If you want to practice some population control, I would remove the nests as soon as babies fledge, and not put them back

Yep, I've got Zebras. (And two societies, but they are a happy same-sex pair.) I was thinking exactly that. Thank you!!
This has been such an adventure already!
