Yes I doubt after our experience we will be getting any more zebras. With ours it was funny at times because we would try to shush them by going "shhhhhh" and it would just make them go crazy! They would chirp, meep, and beep even louder!

Haahaaha!
Yes, a sshhhhhh sound or hissssss sound, makes all of them go nuts. I'm assuming they think it's a snake, or something dangerous, and one needs to raise an alarm, by screaming as loud as you can.

So what birds and pets do you currently have? My signature is up to date with all the fur balls and feathered friends we own! We had 3 parakeets until recently. Poor little guy was found laying at the bottom of his cage. :( we'll never know what happened to him. The other 2 were quiet for a few days.

Sorry to hear about your little parakeet boy. Had the same thing happen with one of yellow headed Star finch girls. She was as right as rain before I went out for an appointment, and when I came back, she was gone. A young , healthy bird, no apparent reason :-(. These things happen at times, and they are sad and frustrating, because we have no way of knowing what happened.

Regarding my pets.....

I currently share my life and home with two members of the Canine Nation. Danny, who is ten and three quarters, and Katy, who is four and a half.

As to the birdlings....
Well, there are 'several' :-) birds that make my kitchen their home. Canaries, Zebras, Societies, Gouldians, Stars, Parrot finches, Shaft Tails, Strawberries, African Fires, Orange Cheeks, Red Ears, Cordon Bleus, Goldbreasts, Budgies, and one elderly Cut throat finch. I think that's all of them :-D.

There is also a fish tank, housing some tropicals.

Yes, I live in a '' Zoo'' , as some people like to call my house, but I enjoy my non human companions. As I like to say, I love all animals, better than I like most people :-).

Haha I feel the same! I would probably have a heck of a lot more pets if I lived alone. I would love to have a huge aviary filled with all kinds of finches! And a bunch of other pets haha!

So sorry to hear about your little finch too. It's sad to watch them go. :( But at least it's nice to think they lived a happy life and passed peacefully.

I forgot to put in my signature that I also have a hamster. My youngest cat goes crazy every time he hears her running in her wheel!
