Finally!

Hello All.

Finally got another Prevue F030 flight.
I have wanted another one for forever and a day, but the price of a new one was just too much for my very limited budget.

I found a second hand one on kijiji, for $220.00, and I jumped at it. It is in brand new condition, with only a couple of slightly bent wires on the one corner of the roof. It's sitting in my yard right now drying, following a thorough wash with water and vinegar.

To order a new one on Amazon.ca, would cost me well over $500.00, so I think I did pretty well.

Oh Elana - Congratulations! I just googled it - it's beautiful and BIG! Your birdies will love it. And what a great way to spend your Sunday: planning and anticipating (forget about the time it took to clean everything). When will you move everybody? And who is lucky enough to be chosen for this new castle?

They are lovely flights. I find that they are roomy for flight , easy to clean, accessible, maneuverable, and the birds love them. Yes, they are big, but pretty.

As to who will go in, there is going to be a major move around, so that's still up in the air. I'll have to let you know once I decide.

Congrats Elana! I love this fight too! Of course it's only a matter of time before your tempted to put the two flights together... on the other hand having two is pretty hard to beat! Oh the possibilities. Lol. If the opportunity presented itself i would snap one up as well, I need another flight but don't want to settle. It's the f030 or nothing. It looks like a trip across the border to get it because your right it is well over $500 to ship. Glad you got it. I'm sure your thrilled with your find!

I AM thrilled with it. I've had one for quite a while now, and I love it.

Are they cheaper in the States? I haven't checked the price on Amazon.com, just Amazon.ca. With our $ now being , not sure if shopping across the border will land you such a good deal, once you calculate the exchange.

They do come up on sites such as kijiji (second hand) and usually for a decent price. My first one, I picked up for $120.00 (which was an excellent deal), but it was in such filthy condition, that it took me days to get it really clean. Then last year, I had one lined up for (I think it was $150.00) but my ride (the guy with the truck ), cancelled out on me, and someone else snapped it up. This time, I saw it listed for $275.00, and I gambled and waited. It dropped down to $225.00, and I got it for $220.00 . A little dusty, but in excellent shape.

You know what I'm going to do with it Debbie put birds in it , of course....

My guys are overcrowded, and I simply need more room. I struggle with having bunches of smaller flights and cages, and find that the bigger flights work really well, both for the birds and for me.

Forgot to say the silk flower blossoms are a very nice touch!
Now I want to get some like that next time I go to Michael's or Joann's during one of their big sales

This flight is now known, as the ,' little guys flight', with one exception, one of my Shaft Tails, who has an attachment to a Cordon girl. She likes to preen him, and he loves it.

Re. Flowers: I get mine at the dollar store (much cheaper, and exactly the same) .
