NRJ

I feed mine every morning swiss chard, cucumber, boiled egg with millet seed sprinkled on top (cause I am fancy and rockin the 5 star restaurant and I roll like that, \:D/ LOL)

I'll be honest. Mostly I see packed in the babies crops within 2 hours, are the green swiss chard. Just an observation.

Parent seem to throw up those greens fast, and the babies with the darkest crops are thriving the best in my flock.

I used to use the Green Day diet, and I still think it is a good basic diet. One vegetable I don't see listed on that diet is kale, and I think kale is a superfood for finches, so I use it frequently. I also offer cucumber, even though it is not recommended on the GD diet. It may not be nutritious, but my birds love it! I started playing around with this diet and have adapted it to my own use. My egg food recipe is probably closer now to Roy Beckham's. www.efinch.com

My finches are fed a variation of this. They get fresh egg and vegetables daily.

Agreed, it's a good basic diet. I think we all feed a variation of this in one way or another. It's a very good place to start, you could just change it around to what's available in your particular area, I see your from Maldives. A variety of seeds, vegetables and some sort of eggfood using hard boiled eggs will make a well balanced diet.
good luck

Hi Neeraj.

It sounds like a healthy and interesting diet.
Although I haven't come across it before today (thanks for sharing), I have been feeding my guys a large variety of vegetables and fruits, and hard boiled eggs on a very regular basis, and they absolutely love it.

I find that most of them will go for the eggs and veg/fruits, even before they go for the seeds. I try to keep their food interesting, with different little additions almost daily.
