My Gouldians are in an aviary room with Cordon Bleus, and Parrot Finches. They all get along famously. I can't speak for other species but I would think if they all get okay now adding the Gouldians wouldn't hurt. From watching mine, Gouldians are very much laid back little birds.

As long as there is plenty of room for each bird or pair to have their little territory, they should get along fine. Certainly, the Gouldians would not cause any trouble, they are pretty easygoing birds.

I've kept Gouldians with Zebras, Societies, Waxbills, Cut Throat, Redfaced Parrots, Shaft Tails, Canaries, Stars......
Right now they are residing with Canaries, Redfaced Parrots and one tiny Zebra.
No problems what so ever.

Thanks for all the replies it was only really the canarys I was worried about caus they can be aggressive I kno goldfinches live in flocks through out the winter months I dnt think there would be much of a problem from them what's a minimum size cage a pair could be kept in indoors caus tbh i didn't really think about how bad the weather is in the UK we dnt really get much of a summer we get about 2 weeks of hot weather a year the rest of the time it's a day here and there of sun as of right now it's been raining heavy for the last four days lol .

If we're talking about two Gouldians (?) the minimum recommendation is, 30/18/18 inches, with 30, being the length from side to side. Although this is the recommendation, if you can go bigger, I would go bigger. The more flying room you can offer them, the better.

thanks for the info I've got a unused garage that I'm thinking of converting into a bird room so when I do buy a pair they might end up with their own flight definatly gona look into gettin a pair tho the colours they come in are crazy so bright and so many different variations on second thought tho what temperatures are they good with caus it's probably gona be quite cold in the garage maybe I could heat it if needed ???lovezebs wrote: Lee123

I have Gouldians with Strawberies and Canary all together , no trouble. Would not recommend to keep Goulds with European Goldfinches,Green Singers , Zebras, Combassou finches . Spices and Owls are also OK.
