Yes it does have gray around the eyes. And the gray-chocolate one in the front has similar colors as his mother that died from that aweful ionizer I bought.
What is cuter are there are two behind their butts that you could not see in the first picture due to the angle of the camera. These are all five from an arial view cramming their butts together before they all fell asleep. (my office is very dark in the evening) My flash woke one up LOL.

They are really developing nicely Babs. Incredibly cute

.
Maybe put a little cardboard box on your desk for them to cuddle in while you work.

Elana,
I m really contemplating trying to keep them tame. I took your advice and I dont remove all the babies. I leave the chocolate pied very young ones in the nest if I take any out so CackleJax wont freak out and send the alarm.
They are about 5-6 days away from fledglings. My most tiny and my most challenging to save two weeks ago.
I finally got the picture to load. These are my youngest. They were born about 11-12 days after my oldest in Lucky's cage that are being weaned now. I cannot BELIEVE these little ones survived. They were almost newly hatched when I lost the 3 adults that night. Im in awe of how strong these three bald, flipper-wielding, leg-nubs were back then. NOTE: Reddish feathers on the backs? **snicker

Oh yes, seems CackleJax made an unwanted and total shutdown of the game
On second thought let me pull up the old picture of Dom. When all those first babies hatched. I think I see red in there on Dom. Dom is the other chocolate pied on the right (one of two males that died out of my 3 males- 2 females). Hmmmmmm. I'll let you call the play. Pretty close game, yes?

That's unreal !
So all the infants other then Lucky's four, are his???
As to how fast they grow, I know, it's crazy, isn't it?

Yeah Lucky only bred with Target (who also died). So her offspring are pure chocolate pied for sure. And yes, it is truly unbelievable how fast a hatchling can grow in two days!!
I think I am ready for gouldians! I know you have wanted to hear me say that for over a month. Im feeling pretty confident now
