Colloidal silver

Post by Kelly » Thu Sep 17, 2015 3:46 pm

Hi all~

My brother says colloidal silver will cure/heal anything and can be used on any animal. I was just wondering if any of you have used it and had good/bad results?

Thanks

Snake oil.
Heals anything???? Ask him for some hard data such as double blind studies.

Despite anecdotal claims by some there is no documentation of it's benefit in helping anything.

The FDA has ruled that colloidal silver products are neither safe nor effective.

That of course doesn't stop those who like to waste money on equally ineffective supplements from buying it.

I would be leery of cure-alls. Consult your vet regarding certain holistic medications.

I use colloidal silver from time to time with my Cairns. Usually during an infection. But also use herbs and homeopathy as well. You can over use CS so I would consult a vet before giving it to a bird.
