I was just funning with you

I have considered Owls before, but hadn't seen them very often at all. However after seeing all those sweet babies of yours, and just how cute they are..... well, what can I say? Then going into my Pet Shop and seeing these two on my last visit, it's amazing that I actually held out until this second visit, lol.
There were other reasons however, that made me believe it was fate that they come home with me...... so it's not all your fault

As I mentioned, they are not that common around here, and not seen that often.
I had gone into my Pet Shop for supplies, and there they were, hopping from one little perch to another, then cuddling together. My heart melted, but I looked at the price ($109.99 each) and my heart said yes, but the reasonable part of my brain said no. I walked away with an aching heart, but a clear conscience.
A couple of days later, arriving early for an appt on the other side of the city, I had time on my hands and happened to see a Petland Store across the street. I stepped in there just to kill time and browse around, and there they were. Three little cuties in a flight, with the usual assortment of Zebras, Societies, Canaries etc. I watched them flitting about for a bit, then glanced at the price, and my mouth dropped open.... ( $189.99 each)

Needless to say, I walked out of Petland very quickly with no birds in my possession.
I had to go back to my Pet Shop, and look again. I told myself, that if it was not meant to be, then they wouldn't be there any longer, and that would be that.
Well they were still there, and lo and behold , check out the price ($109.99 each, two for $189.99) Well if that isn't fate, I don't know what is.
I walked out of my Pet Shop, my heart singing in the rain, a bag containing two little boxes with two little Owls, clutched in my sweaty little hand , feeling that it was truly meant to be.
I don't regret it, they are adorable.
I have heared both of them say 'meeeep' (in fact when I meeep, they meeep back at me). I have heared one make a little chortling sound, but I couldn't tell who's who. So now I banded them with red and green colour bands (just to be able to tell the difference) and now we wait to see who sings, and who doesn't . I hope they're a pair.
So that's my Owl story, just a hoot of a tale of fate.
