Well Finchy Folk....

Tomorrow my two new Pearl-headed Silverbills will be coming Into town :-).

I have to say, I am getting a little excited here \:D/
I have never seen this species before, other than in pictures, so this will be an altogether new experience for me :YMAPPLAUSE:

Spreckles

I will quarantine for a short while.
I don't use scat, unless I see some symptoms of something that needs to be treated.

Here are a couple of topics on the forum about this species. A friend got some several years ago, they are very striking birds.

Sally

Great minds think alike Sally, I already read those earlier today, :-) but thanks.

Well, one more sleep, and then we shall see what they're like. Everything I've heared about them so far, is favourable.

BillHess

Thanks Bill.

They are really sweet. They come right up to the bars and check you out, which is really cute, and quite surprising with new birds.

Spreckles

They are amazingly unafraid for two birdlings who find themselves in a completely new environment, with an unfamiliar human.

Hi Elana. The silver bills in general I think have a easy going personality I've always found them appealing. I've never seen the Perl headed siverbill they are beautiful! Owls now another beautiful species I'm jealous! . lol. :D . New arrivals always so exciting!

kyle

Thanks Kyle.

So far I'm pleasantly surprised.
These are my first Silverbills. Although I've heared and read about both African and Indian SV's, I have never seen them in real life.
As in regards to the Pearl Headed SV's, never even heared of them before I saw the ad on kijiji, and then Roxanne mentioned them on her post shortly thereafter.

Then they disappeared off kijiji, only to reappear once again. Then I found out that they were being sold by a breeder from my bird club, and my curiosity was peaked, and...... well, the rest is history.

I really think you need some Owls, my boy :-).

Elana me too! Lol! I've always liked the African Silverbill in particular. When I was purchasing my F030 flight cage I did a search for videos of the cage and came across one full of Silverbills singing and It left a impression! I would like to see the Owls in real life to experience the nature of them. I'm not sure about their flightiness compared to Gouldians that could be a deal breaker. Lol.
