No TV in my bedroom......
It is a thought, but...... I don't know, sigh ~~~
Dragging stuff up and down the stairs, is not ideal.

Okay girlie, I gotcha. Tending cages on two levels is a task. I wont push ya. I have found even in one living room, I have to have food, water and extras on both sides of the room so I'm not running back and forth for refills on either side of the room.
When I had Lucky in my kitchen the whole family went bananas over her "CHIRP CHIRP" echoing in the the corner of the kitchen. And it was twice the work for one more cage in another room

Babs & kyle
I'll have you know that these two Sweathearts, have been together through at least two owners that I'm aware of, so this is not a fly by the seat of your pants, sudden attraction kind of thing.
The main issue (if it is an issue), is whether, this is the kind of love that can produce children as an outcome, or not (?)

lovezebs & Babs. I think there is a little envy on my part
. All my babies are sold and both pairs I planed on breeding are not quite a year old. It could be a while before I see any romance going on!
I will just have to live vicariously through your successes.

Ohhh dont be envious. My most prolific egg layer (Brat) just lives for that "1 second moment", then she buries the eggs when shes done so she can do it all over again.
She's living up to her name.......and a few others](./images/smilies/eusa_wall.gif)

The kids were having fun today, hunting mealworms, after which they had a good splash in the tubby.
I didn't know this species enjoyed live food. Good to know

Elana, it is sounding more and more promising for you!
Of all the mannikins, these guys rely on live food the most for breeding. Keep the worms coming!!

Hi Roxanne.
Thanks for the information. Is there anything else I should know about these kids? I am sort of feeling my way in the dark here.
I have temporarily moved them in with my Waxbills today, for the simple fact that I'm short on space . Everyone happy and getting along splendidly. If they are going to decide to go to nest, I didn't want them in a little quarantine cage. This way, at least there are several nests from which to choose, rather than a seed cup.
I so so need a bird room

Re: Interesting Update On My New Pearl-Headed Silverbills
Elana, other than needing some live food, they sound as straight forward as your other mannikins. The little I have read says they are easy to breed if they are a true pair and have the correct diet. Also read somewhere that they like to use nest boxes vs baskets, so maybe offer both.
Let's see what happens
