My crested zebra finch.

Post by Sheather » Tue Dec 08, 2015 8:32 pm

I was aware this mutation existed, but I'd never come across it in this species. Well, I found this singleton for sale half-off for $9.99 at a mall kiosk today while doing my holidays shopping, and after a lot of deliberation....

Sigh... so much for downsizing....

He is awfully cute.

You're downsizing my way, Dylan.... =))

Are you gonna call him Donald, or Mr. Trump ????

You gave me my chuckle for the day Dylan, and I sure needed it.

I love him !!!

rcharrod It's almost like a permanent flea market, and one vendor was selling a few zebra finches they probably bred along with some other pet supplies. I didn't ask much, I just knew he looked good and I wanted him!

I wanted to keep Snickers quarantined for at least a couple weeks, only because he's a pet shop bird and I don't know where he comes from before he got there... but he had other ideas.

He's very small and I guess he was able to pop out through the bars of the little temp. cage I had him in while the society finches were out this afternoon and I came back to this. He and my white socie Claire attached at the hip.
