I brought Tweety home in October. Since he's been eating out of my hand for over a month now, I figured I would try letting him get some free-flight time outside his cage. He seems to really enjoy it, though he doesn't go very far. He's not "finger tame" yet but he's not afraid of me, if that makes sense.
Enjoying some veggies...
My male Budgie, Lindsey, tolerates him pretty well (better than my 2 female Bourke Parakeets, who are very protective of their cages). In fact, Lindsey and Tweety have a common interest: FOOD !
Tweety even goes in Lindsey's cage for visits (but don't worry, I am there to "supervise").
