Need help, too cold for babies tonight?
I have a pair of societies that have been kept in my outside screened porch (in Florida) for the past several months. They are currently sitting on 3 eggs and 1 newly hatched baby gouldian. We have had pretty mild weather up until now but tonight is supposed to be breezy and cool down to the mid 40s. I'm worried it might be too cold for the babies if the parents happen to leave them unattended for a few minutes in the morning. I'm thinking about moving the cage inside but was worried the change might scare them away from nesting. What should I do? Move them in, just cover the cage with a blanket to keep the draft out, or just leave them alone entirely? Any advice/personal experience is appreciated!

Personally I would bring the cage indoors...
Societies being Societies, they will stay with the babies, or at least that has been my experience when I've had to move Socies around.
