Lack of color in gouldian

Post by ann » Sat Jan 02, 2016 1:57 am

This little guy hatched about a year ago. The first clutch of 4 from the parents had excellent coloring. The second clutch consisted of this guy and another one who didn't make it. His diet is excellent, with plenty of veggies and vitamins. Any thoughts on why his coloring is incomplete?

He is stuck in molt. Most times stuck in molt happens because of stress and/or diet. Next annual molt he should molt out fine.
Good luck

He's a very pretty little guy.
I've had some like that who seemed "stuck". Each chick from the same clutch can color up differently or quicker, even though they have the same food & environment. He will be GORGEOUS next molt =D>
